To whoever invented wine tasting events, we’re forever grateful. The 2016 Winnipeg Wine Festival is coming to town, with wine tastings starting April 24th and ending on April 30th. Start your week off right with themed tastings such as the Party’s Outback, an event centered around wines and bites from Australia, or the Wines of Argentina event, located at the Winnipeg Art Gallery and focused on sharing wines and food from that country.
Just make sure you don’t miss the main event, the public wine tasting, happening on the 29th and 30th. With over 500 wines from 135 wineries and 12 countries, our excitement levels are through the roof.The tasting will be held at the RBC Convention Centre, a short 10 minute walk away from the Fort Garry Hotel, so there’s no need to stress about who will be the designated driver. When you’re palate has had enough of wine (if that’s even possible), your cozy room at the Fort Garry will be there waiting to tuck you in.
