Connor Derraugh
Connor holds a Jazz Performance degree from the University of Manitoba majoring in both sax and piano. Although his roots are grounded in jazz, Connor embraces many musical styles and is passionate about infusing rock, pop, blues, funk and R&B songs with creative arrangements and melodic improvisations.
Connor has performed at a host of events including the Winnipeg Jazz Festival, the Downtown Concert Series, the Asper Jazz Series and the Assiniboine Park’s Jazz in the Garden and Summer Concert Series.
2020 saw Connor featured in livestream performances benefitting the Manitoba Brain Injury and Canadian Diabetes Associations. In 2021, Connor filmed livestream shows for CCFM’s Mardi Jazz series and Rady JCC’s Music and Mavens series. In addition, Connor has joined the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra for livestream concerts.
A writer and arranger as well as a performer, Connor is currently recording his debut solo project, produced by Juno nominee Larry Roy.
